        Please help.

My rabbit’s right eye has been watering for the past day and I’m becoming very concerned, because i can’t get him in to see the vet until Thursday. (I live in a smaller town and the exotic pets vet is only in on Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.)
He’s had a watery eye before and the vet told me then that something had gotten in it and scratched it a bit, but this time around his eye is much more pink and watery. He doesn’t appear to be in any sort of pain and he’s acting completely normal aside from scratching just below his eye from time to time. He’s blinking just fine and there doesnt appear to be any goopy discharge.
I’m very worried about him and doing my best to clean the pink around his eye with warm water, but I’d like anymore advice or what could be the potential problem. Please tell me if there is any need to rusg him to an animal hospital or if you believe waiting till Thursday is fine..
        Thank you in advance

Is his eye looking swollen at all?

You can give a bit of relief by holding a warm, wet washcloth over the eye with gentle pressure. Most rabbits like this feeling. You can do that several times a day.
If you’re concerned that the eye is looking worse, a general vet should be able to check him. They can always consult with their exotics vet about anything they are uncertain on. At the vet, ask if they’ll do a dye test where they put yellow in the eye and it shows up any scratches. If you think it’s looking a bit better from applying the compress, it would probably be okay to wait until Thursday.
