So I think my bun has officially rule lawyered me. Amelia is about 6 months old, spayed and has been doing fantastic with her litter box habits. A few weeks ago she “discovered” that she could still poo in her litter box by sitting in the corner it’s located but on top of the cage, rather then going into the cage and then the litter box. Then today she did the same thing to pee in her litter box. Is this the start of a problem?

She is free run except for when we are asleep or the rare occasion that no one is home. She is in and out of her cage all the time she even willing naps in there with the door open

I would think it is the start of a problem if the poop/pee lands outside the litterbox… Ever picked up a new habit yourself? Whether it is a problem – is matter of perspective…
