I get these flyers from trader joes when ever I go there and while reading it, I started to think that it is safe for rabbits. On the back it it says “Printed on Recycled Paper with Soy-Based Inks. For mental consumption only” I don’t know if they did the mental consumption as a joke or what not. I do know soy-based inks are safe for rabbits. Should I let my rabbit have it in her litter box? Or digging area?

Also, I’ve been asking soooo many questions in the past few days lol. Sorry about that. It would just be awesome if these were safe for rabbits since they are free and you can get them while shopping!

Rookie LOVES paper….he eats my bills regularly…he almost ate through a book too. his favorite is my mom’s discarded pages of her Sudoku book whenever we visit there. never really thought of him being able to eat enough of paper in one go that the ink would be bad for him. I guess it all depends on how much ink there is and how much color. I’d give it a go and see how it goes.

If they’re soy based ink, then it should be perfectly fine.

Olly gets angry and rips up leaflets that come through our letter box, I say to him. “Look at this leaflet, 2 pizzas for the price of 1, no good to Mummy, its not gluten free bread.” I show it him and say. “No good.” I put it on the floor and he rips it up and does a poop on it.

Sebastian and Juliet both love to shred paper. It is like a hobby for them! Sebastian prefers to shred anything about politics and saves the food portion. Juliet could care less about that and just shreds it all. I would give them a sheet of newspaper and they run off and shred it!
