  Hi, so my fiancee and I are first time bunny owners and our first bunny, Stormy, is almost a year old and this is the first time she has shed THIS much. I’m just curious as to if this is normal, how long it will last, and anything that can help us. She is shedding excessively and some patches of fur are changing to a darker color now. Photos will be added soon. Any and all help is greatly appreciated, thank you!

  Colour changes during shedding are quite normal, especially in younger rabbits which may be shedding into their adult coat and aquiring their adult colour. Also, if your bun gets outside a lot in the sun, their coat will fade over time and when they shed, the new fur is darker than the old sun-bleached coat.
  
  Some sheds are heavier than others, my pair are going through a very heavy one at the moment too. Nothing to be concerned about
