I am going to build a my two rabbits a large shed/hutch this summer and I was wondering what’s the best wood to use? And do you think it’s a good idea to build a bigger shed-ish structure? I would really appreciate any comments to keep in mind when building the hutch or anything either! Also for the roof, what would you suggest I use? Thanks!

Most untreated woods are safe! I’m pretty sure plywood is safe. Make sure there are no shavings or what not when you finish. Just make sure that the ends and every aspect of the wood are well shaved (smooth) and you clean up the shavings before the rabbit goes in the hutch. You don’t want your rabbit to get splinters or inhale the wood dust. (this goes for all woods)
I do know that MDP is not safe. Well, it’s what I have read before!!
