My rabbit Hazel recently came in contact with a cat and I’m not sure if it scratched her or not but her eye looks messed and she has some weird red thing on her face, I wanted to ask around before I took her to the vet just to see if I could fix it myself. (Her fur looks wet because its covered in some type of goo that’s coming from her eye) Help?

If that cat scratched her or put any kind of puncture wound on her, she needs to get to a vet ASAP. Cats have a lot of bacteria in their claws and mouths and a rabbit or any animal will need an antibiotic if scratched or bitten by a cat.  Even if she wasn’t scratched, that eye should be looked at by a vet and treated.

Agree with tobyluv 100% A vet visit is always required if there is any chance she was scratched. The resulting infection from the bacteria is a major cause of death of many rescued birds and small mammals which aren’t given the correct treatment after a cat attack. Better to be safe than sorry.
