Anyone know if millet grass is safe for Buns? I was thinking I could grow it like wheatgrass.

It seems to be safe for horses and grazing cattle, so it’s most likely safe for buns. As a rule, horses and buns can eat the same things. I could only find info about large-scale cultivation of pearl millet: http://www.alliedseed.com/pearl-millet/

There seems to be a whole host of millets about, but pearl millet seems to be the type most used as forage.

Thank you Bam, much appreciated. I’ll see if I can get some pearl millet to grow.

I grow Millet grass in summer. I give it to my buns once I’ve picked the millet sprays off for the birds.
