I’m sort of freaking out because I don’t know if this is normal or not. But my bunny has some gunk in the corner of her right eye.. kinda like us humans get when we wake up from a sleep. Her other eye sees to be fine. I’ve noticed around her eyes have been a little pink lately. She doesn’t seem to be acting like anything is wrong. What should I do? Take her to the vet? Leave it and she’ll clean it out herself?

I can’t really tell from the pic, but according to Luna’s vet (we were just there last week for nose/eye questions) a tiny bit of clear or dried sleep is normal. If the discharge is continuous or mucous-like or accompanies other symptoms, it might be something medical. If today is the first time it’s happened, I’m sure she’s ok . As to the pinkness around her eyes, I’m not sure – irritation/dryness maybe?

Today is the first time I’ve noticed it!
I think the pink may be because what we use for her litter makes her sneeze every time we clean it, so we are changing that out asap. Hopefully that helps!

A tiny bit of dry crusties in the corner of the eyes is normal. As long as it’s not a lot or goopy. They get sleep crusties in their eyes just like we do.

Thank you all for the replies! I normally Google things when I don’t know if specific things she’s doing is normal, and it seems it always gives you the wrote case senerio answers lol.
I’m glad to know that it’s normal! Thank you all, once again
