I have had Bunny for a year and a half (got her as a baby). She is not very affectionate, but is completely motivated by food. She is not very skittish (i think she may be deaf), but all of the sudden I walk into her room which has a short dog pen cage she jumps out of (which is totally fine), and starts freaking out. She runs all over her cage and jumps out frantically. She has done it all day and it is really weird as she never has done so before. Any reason to be concerned?

Side note: she has been fixed over a year ago

        Thanks

Is she eating and drinking alright and pooping? Maybe something startled her or sometimes it’s the Weather. It’s hard to tell what weirds buns out. It also can be something, such as a sight or smell that’s triggering her. If she persists, I’d take her to a vet. Or try talking to her calmly, take easy steps and offer her favorite treat. My rabbit has freak outs sometimes where he goes into thumping mode, I just talk to him softly and offer him treats. This seems to works. Hope this helps!

Mine does the same thing. Very inconsistent. I’ll walk in 10 times and he just lays there
Then the 11 th time, walking in the exact same way, slowly, quietly, announcing in soft voice “it’s momma” he freaks!!
Again, wish i was a bun mind reader
