I plan on buying some critical care when I get paid just to have on hand in case and I’m wondering what size syringe would be best?  One with a thick tip or thin? I’m going to get the finely ground critical care so hopefully it won’t be lumpy. Thanks!

Try to get an oral syringe if you can, they have a wider tip which makes it a bit easier because you want to make it up quite thick

The wider the tip, the easier it is to feed. I’ve found that really narrow syringes make it quite difficult because it’ll get plugged up at the end.

I use a 1 ml syringe, and I’ve sawed the tip off with a bread-knife. I have 2,5 and 5 ml syringes as well, but they have these idiotic narrow tips even though they are feeding-syringes.

Hmm, I’m not sure if you have a local livestock/feed store or veterinary supply chain, but where I live I can get larger syringes meant for administering thick medication and they work quite well with administering the apple/banana critical care. If you want I can check and see what size/gauge they are.
