So, it’s been 4 weeks since got male bunny neutered, 30 days exactly. Female spayed for over a year now. Tried to bond them but he is still making the honking/buzzing type excitement noise I’ve heard in male bunnies before and wants to explore the small neutral territory (towel in bath tub) but mostly just wants to hump her. She isn’t aggressive about this but is scared and clearly doesn’t like it. Also he grooms her quite forcefully, I can’t tell if he’s nibbling her or just licking her quite harshly, she takes it and lies down for it but doesn’t seem to enjoy it much either…

I don’t know whether his hormones have died down enough yet, or how I should proceed if they have and this is normal neutered male bunny behaviour?

Please help! Have no idea what to do.

He could be overly excited to get a bond mate. Have you done any prebonding? Prebonding tactics usually help a lot with over excited bunnies

well they’ve been living side by side for these 4 weeks. But I’ve not let them in each others spaces or swapped litter or toys if that’s what you mean? thanks for the reply
