Hi guys, this is my first post and I hope I did it correctly! My name is Shannon and I have a bunny named belle. She will be a year old next month. She is a holland lop, and very sweet. She’s real friendly and likes to play. I got her and her sister as a pair when they were just tiny babies, but sadly we lost her sister Ginger after I got them spayed. Since losing her sister, belle is doing just fine. I was real worried about her since they were inseparable. But after a few days, she bounced back and actually is a much better bunny. ( after the spay, and I feel enjoys being the only bun in the house. She’s become very interactive. Anyways I live in Texas, am a nearly wed, and love to cook and spoil my animals. I hope to learn more about bunnies and improve her bunny condo.

Hello and welcome to Binky Bunny! I’m sorry about the loss of Ginger. It’s good that Belle is doing well. While it’s true that many bunnies love a companion, there are some who are perfectly content to be the sole rabbit in the house.

The BUNNY INFO link (at the top of the page) has a lot of good information on all the basics of rabbit care, including housing. There are several pictures of the various setups that can be made for rabbits.

Hi and welcome, Shannie and Belle! I’m sorry you lost Ginger. but as tobyluv says, some bunnies seem to blossom when they become the only bun in a household. It’s great Belle seems to be one of those. They can absolutely become more interactive with their humans.

You’ll find that many of us here love to spoil our animals =) I have a dog and a bunny, they are both spoiled rotten on a daily basis!
