Ouch ! That’s what we yell when she bites. She doesn’t put her ears back –just chomps for the fun of it. We still love her to bits– such a cutie- patootie !!!!!

Hasn’t drawn blood/broken through skin –but we still let her roam a bit and pat her. Just have to watch out.

Can’t wait for summer– so she can go outdoors on her pink harness and leash,  or play pen.

Very good about her litter box, and loves small bits of fresh spinach and carrot.

A few pics of Charlie on her favorite cushion when relaxing with us in the tv/computer room :

She’s a cutie! Are they true bites or just nips?

She is a cutie patootie! Sorry to hear she’s also a vampire.

Is she biting when you’re putting you hand out to pet her? Or she is randomly coming up and biting?

p.s. Great name for her, given her Charlie markings.

No blood drawn or painful marks on our skin. I allow her to ‘nibble’ on the blanket throw on the couch or on the loose parts of our shirts, etc. Twice she sniffed and nipped my hands and my son’s hand. He’s a teen and is very responsible — so it’s not like having a 3 year old who might get too rough.

I told my kid to shout “Ouch” loudly and put her back in her kennel if she nipped …. either that or just let her run in the mud room (very rabbit proof and a safe place to let her go wild) or in the tv den but watch carefully if she looks like she’s going to nip again.
After hearing a loud shout which seems to startle her– she’ll hop away from you and act like she doesn’t know why you yelled. Silly girl.

But she refrains from biting your hand/arm.
So maybe that’s how to deal with it.
              Otherwise she’s fine and dandy.

Oops. I mis-read your 1st post and thought she had drawn blood/broken skin. Sorry Charlie-bun, for calling you a vampire.

Ive gotten little “move hoomin” nips, or “keep petting me, slave” nips from my bunners before.

Alright, this was false advertising. I was expecting to see pictures of bite marks.

Charlie’s biting has calmed down… for now. She’s getting a bit bigger, but the show breeder we bought her from said she’d probably stay smaller as both parents are on the lighter side.
Trying to get her used to being held more often, as THAT is when she freaks out. Pats on the head are o.k.
She likes my kid the best.

I’m glad to hear the biting has calmed down – hope it stays that way! Most adult bunnies really, really hate being held. But most love being pet, esp on the head. It’s great that she likes your kid!!

@ bam : Yes. I’ll try to post some more pics soon.

I will have to update my avatar.
