I got two bonded females about a month ago. I have two other rabbits who very quickly bonded and loved me. The girls are still terrified of me. I have spend a lot of money on vet bills as one of them was sick when we got her. I am beginning to get frustrated, I am trying everything I know to do to get them to be less scared but they won’t even let us near them. This makes everything including play time out of their pen so much harder. Does anyone have advice or has experienced something similar?

You need to give them more time. A month really isn’t that long. It took a while for my Peanut to get used to me and as your rabbits also dealt with health issues in the month you’ve had them, it’s not unreasonable to think they need more time.

I got Zeke as a baby, so maybe that’s why he’s bonded with me. But I learned from a lot of videos, that if you sit on the floor and sit still, when your rabbit comes up to you offer them a healthy treat such as veggie or some pellets. Or hold the pellet bowl in hands and if they get curious, place the food bowl down. When they start associating you with food, that’s what helps also. Just be patient and take your time, don’t rush it. Only advice I can offer! Hope this helps!

Well my other two that I didn’t get already bonded are awesome and love us, my problem is the girls just want to be around each other and left alone. Did anyone else start with bunnies that were already bonded?

It doesn’t matter, every rabbit and rabbit pair is different. This couple obviously just need more time.
