Yesterday, my holland lop Jupiter was being unusually aggressive and bit me a few times. I was watching a movie with him in my lap, and we were in a room that he had never been in before. I also noticed that inthe last couple of months, his nose has been a little damp. I was wondering if the two could be connected, and if not, why was he being so aggressive yesterday?

Hormones? Is he neutered? A damp nose could be somewhat normal (ie. humidity or from breathing heavy after running around), or it could indicate a health issue (ie. dental or infection) or irritation from environmental causes. Has he been eating/acting normally other than the aggressive behavior yesterday?

In what context was he aggressive? My Bam bit my mother in the toe today because she had stopped petting him and he wanted more pets. That’s sth quite a few buns will do.
A wet nose can be perfectly normal because buns only breathe through their noses and humidity from the ambient air and the lungs has to pass through the nose. What’s not normal is thick snot, wet cheeks, matted fur on the cheeks, runny eyes and of course lots of sneezing/ coughing.

How old your bun is and whether he’s intact or neutered are also factors that can influence aggression. How is his appetite? Poop? Any changes there?

He is normally the sweetest little bunny in the world. He hasn’t bit since two days ago, and he is neutered. His nose is just a little damp, but not wet or mucousy.

And about the aggression, he could have been stressed out by the TV because it was kind of loud, and he was in a room that he hadn’t been in before.
