How long does it take before a neutered bunny will stop chasing female bunnies? Bear is about 6 months and has been neutered for over a week now. I have been letting him out a couple times to spend some time with Elle (the female bunny I rescued at the same time as him) because I have been putting him in a cage in her room. I was hoping they would stay bonded as they would still lick each other through the cage and lay next to each other. But all Bear does when I let them out into the living room is chase her! And she runs for her life. It is funny but also sad to watch…. lol after a few minutes I feel so bad for Elle thay I end up putting her back in her room and they dont get to spend any time cuddling or grooming each other

I’d say at least 2 weeks, but up to 8 weeks is considered normal. It rarely takes that long with a male though. So be patient a while longer!

Peanut tried to hump Buttercup during their brief encounter two weeks post neuter. You definitely need to wait for more than a week just in case your female gets annoyed and they end up having a scuffle.
