        Hello,

I have a male Dutch rabbit who I have had for around 8 months and he turned one in December. I find it really hard to check his weight so I wanted to know if anyone would know a good estimate of the weight of a one year old male Dutch rabbit. The reason I need to know is so judging from his weight I could give him the right amount of pellets he needs.

        Thanks

According to google, he should be 3.5lbs to 5.5lbs. To weigh him, if you cant do it yourself at your home, youre better off going to the vet and getting a little check up

I have a dutch and he’s usually about 3.5-4.0lbs and he gets 1/4 pellets a day, with most of that being timothy with a little bit of alfafa.

In a pinch you can use a food scale but a vet’s is probably better for an initial read if you’re unsure.

Thank you for your suggestions and I think a vet could do a better job than me at weighing him. Also sleepy what do you mean by “1/4 pellets” is that 1/4 of a cup and how much would that weigh,

              Thanks again?
