My female has always been good with using the litterbox. I’d fine the odd stray poop, but never pee. Over the last few most she’s been getting worst. It’s too the point now where training is all but forgotten.
Has anyone had this problem? And did u retrain them? If so how??
Nothing change. She’s spayed. She had a bout of GI stasis, but that was caught and she’s finished treatment. She’s bonded and her husbuns habits are still perfect.
Both my rabbits came trained so I have no idea where to start.

Since she is spayed and used to be good with her litter training, I would think the GI stasis may have messed up her routine and, therefore, her habits. Is it both poop and pee accidents? I would put any stray poops into the litter box when you find them. For wet accidents, try soaking up some of the mess with a paper towel and putting it in the litter box, too. It should help remind her where that should go. Also, if you actually see her urinating try to put her into the litter box right away (assuming she lets you pick her up). Clean any urine stains with white vinegar. It will remove the stain and any scent that will make her want to keep marking there. If it is really severe I would consider getting another litter box to try and encourage her to use it in the area where she has accidents the most.

The peeping usually occurs on me or the couch. She loves being held so it’s easy to put her in the litterbox when I catch her. I put a 2nd litterbox in the living room.
I’m hoping she learns soon. I love cuddling with her and giving her lots of time outside her pen, but I hate running around picking up poops constantly. Lol!! And getting peed on.

Understandably! I read in another thread that someone uses puppy pee pads on their couch when they cuddle with their rabbit because they also have accidents. It is not ideal but may protect you and your couch until things go back to normal. I hope she does! :]

She’s slowly getting better. We are 3 days pee free! Still finding poops, but that is getting better each week.
