First off Im stating I have been in contact with my vet but he must of got busy and didnt get back to me. Plus -40°C weather and a resent storm had made travel not recommended, Im an hour from my vet on a good day.
So that being said Im looking for ideas until my vet gets back to me. My male mini rex got neutered, 3 days after the swelling was not going down. So the vet recommended some antibiotics ontop of the med they gave me after he was fixed. Another 3 days the swelling is pretty much gone. But he started getting runny eyes and shedding like crazy! Like mini rex’s dont shed like normal. But I can pet him and get clumps of fur off him. The vet said if it was an infection, the antibiotics would take care of it. But its been a couple days and not getting better. Could it be food? Other than I gave them some kale one day, nothing has changed. And he hasnt had it since. Usually they get romain lettuce, kale doesnt come to my town much. He’s eating, drinking, and running around like normal.
I made a suggestion it could be the antibiotics but the vet said he’s never had a reaction to it before but to never day never lol. He wanted me to send pics of him since I couldnt get in and thats the last I heard back from him.
So if anyone has any ideas or experienced something like it.
        Thanks

What antibiotic is it? And dose?

I did once hear of a reaction to baytril that caused fur loss. Not common but some rabbits may be more sensitive then most to certain meds.

Maybe stress of the recent vet visit and op has triggered a major moult?
