As the summary explains, our new pet seems to run to the same corner each time he roams out of his cage and leaves droppings there. He won’t do this anywhere else in the house. Im assuming its territory marking, but its got to stop. We have no other pets by the way. Is there any way to prevent him from doing this? Spray some sort of scent there maybe? He is not fixed yet.

If he was territory marking he’d be doing it all over. I would just save yourself the stress and put a litter tray there.

It is the same spot by the kitchen table where I like to work on my computer. That is no coincidence?

              I don’t understand what you’re saying?

You said: “If it was territorial he would be pooping all over”. As I explained, he is not pooping all over. Just a particular corner by my kitchen table where I frequently sit. That is why I believe it may be territorial and by putting a litter box near by he will still decide to go on the floor. It happens as soon as I let him out.

Im wondering if there is anything I can spray there to repel him from the area.

Why not just try putting a litter box there?? He might feel like it’s a safe potty spot and often once a bunny decides on his toilet spot, it can be hard to change his mind. And as said before, it might not even be a territorial issue…

I’m inclined to agree with STG, a rabbit that poops only in one spot outside of his cage is generally one that likes that are as a toilet. Rabbits that are marking their territory tend to poop all around, especially on the borders of their territory. Rabbits like to toilet where they feel safe, often this is a corner of a room. I would add a litter tray right where he has been pooping and see if he starts to use it, not all rabbits have trouble with training outside of the their cage, but some do need a second tray. Otherwise it’s very hard to deter a bun from pooping in particular spots like that and you may have to block the area off, or just sweep up poops after he’s out every time.

In regards to deterrents, some people have luck with things like bitter apple spray but it attracts some rabbits Do you clean the area afterwards?
