So in prep for my upcoming (hopefully) marathon bonding session, I have one query – I will obviously be starting out in complete neutral territory. Which for me is the bedroom. The living room will be their main living area but at the moment they are both sharing it. It’s split down the middle with one bun on each side. Buttercup is currently on the left side and Peanut is on the right. I’ve been swapping them every week or so for the last 6 ish weeks (basically since they were separated) although they’ve stayed in their current sides for almost 2 weeks. Firstly, should I swap them again?

Secondly, I was thinking of setting up a pen in the centre of the living room so it sort of overlaps both bun’s areas and then covering the carpet with sheets and towels. Will this work as a semi neutral area? If so, I could progress from bedroom (neutral) to centre of living room to final area lay out.

To create a neutral area to bond Gina and Podge, I puttwo small pens on an old duvet on top of a shower curtain on the carpet, and later combined them to make a bigger pen, still on the duvet and shower curtain . It worked fine!
