Hello! So my bunny…Benni is a mini rex and is going to be 3 in feb. He was doing so well using his liter and out of no where he has been pooping and peeing all over his room and cage..where he eats…ANYWHERE AND EVERYWHERE. it doesn’t bother me…but it is at my boyfriends house and he is a little more short tempered than i am. Does anyone have any advice on what we can do to get him to control his oops again and to use his liter box? it seems like as soon as we clean up his room (liter as well) he just poops everywhere and avoids his box. he’s very social and cuddly. he doesn’t seem territorial… i don’t know what it is! any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Routine question here: Is he neutered?

Also, has anything changed recently with his environment?

He is neutered! Also, no changes to his environment at all! he has a whole room to himself and it’s been the same way since we got him!

Hmm, it’s always seems strange to us when bunnies suddenly feel territorial for seemingly no reason. There likely is a reason, but unfortunately we can’t read bunny minds. LOL Do you have an exercise pen? I’m wondering if he is confined to a smaller subsection of his room, he will start to feel the near to mark diminish. It’s like litter training 101, in a way. He is confined to a smaller space for awhile and additional litter boxes in the small space her reinforce that the litter boxes are for poop and pee. Once he’s doing better, he can be reintroduced to having his own room.
