        Hello!

So the past two days I have let Nox up on my bed to see if she could be trusted not to pee on it. It goes really well for most of the day, I can even take a nap and she sleeps beside me no problem but when I am awake and reading or on my computer she starts to leave large poop piles. I brush these off but then she comes and sits right beside me and pees on me and on the bed. She only does this when I am awake and sitting on the bed, never when i am sleeping or not on the bed. I can’t figure out why since she doesn’t pee anywhere else but her littler box. Not the couch or laundry or anything! Just my bed when I am on it. Any ideas what she is trying to say?

does she go on your bed often? She could be marking it as hers. Charlie always did that and finally I got a smaller litterbox to bring with me on my bed and he still poops on his blankets on my bed, but will only pee in his litter box now, so that might be worth a try if nothing else works

She is on my bed most of the time I am home. She sorta does this weird butt waggle with her butt facing me and then pees half on me and half on the bed. I will try the littler box trick but it really seems like she is trying to say something since its only when I am on the bed and awake that she pees on it. Is it just her making sure I see that she is trying to claim it? What should I do? Not let her up on the bed anymore or just keep putting her in time out in her cage when she does it? (She is a free range house bunny btw)

Is she spayed? She is marking her territory. Bunnies peeing on beds is really common, especially unfixed buns. The theory is that this is the place that smells most like you and she wants to make it smell like her.

If she’s not spayed, that will probably help.

As for “time out” I don’t really think bunnies understand punishment like that. I suggest, if it continues, to either restrict her access to the bed, or try putting a garbage bag and a litter box up on the bed. Some members have had success with that.

When we moved to our new house, my queen sized box springs wouldn’t fit up the stairs of my old home. So i slept on my mattress on the floor. My bun slept at night in his cage in my room but during day he had free roam of my bedroom. He’d mostly sleep behind my pillows most of the day but in evening he and i would watch tv. He’d jusy lay on the bed with me or hop around binkying across the bed

Then one night i was talking to my sister on the phone. We talked for a long time, he was hopping all around me the while time. Then i noticed poo everywhere all over the bed!! I guess he had been asking for attention and communicated his displeasure at not getting it

Then when i got my new mattress set i didn’t figure he could get on my bed as it was too high. But he managed to jump up and this time no poo but he peed all over the band new mattress!!

Now he’s pooping on my sofa. Tonight he also peed on it too. It’s so disappointing as i love giving him freedom to roam and relax with me. I think it may be that he wants my undivided attention because he seems to only do it when I’m working on something. I was organizing photos. I didn’t lay on floor and play with hon at all. I wonder if that is a factor too
