I just let my little girl out of her cage and she just binkied, the thumped. She did that twice. Just wondering what you all think that means? Is it her hormones, or she’s just really excited that she’s thumping after to express it?
        I appreciate all the opinions!

Buttercup only thumps if she’s startled and Peanut thumps when startled or irritated lol. I’d go with excitement for yours!

It sounds like happy excitement! They can thump for attention too, and because they’re angry. So it’s not just about fear.

In an attempt to introduce our poodle to our holland lop we let the dog in the basement when the bun is in his bunny condo. Theo will run over to greet the dog. They touch noses, it’s so cute. But yesterday, Theo jumped in his litter box and thumped. Then he did it 2 more times. I told my daughter i think he’s done visiting wih the dog. My daughter always sits with the dog to be sure nothing happens even though the cage separates them. As soon as they left, he went right back to hay munching. So he communicated when he had enough!
