I looked up Thomas litter, and it seems to be clumping mineral litter for cats. That is NOT a good type of litter for rabbits. It’s very harmful if they ingest some of it.

The best and cheapest litter I know of is plain wood stove pellets that have no accelerants added. It’s for warming houses, so it’s not found in pet stores (there are wood pellets of the same type sold in pet stores but at a much higher price) but in tractor supplies etc.

          It’s what I use.

Thank you very much for letting me know before I used it!!! I was worried when it didn’t look like the previous litter I ran out of and that’s great info I seem to be going through litter at the rate of knots and could do with a cheap alternative that I can get a lot of

Besides wood stove pellets, horse stall pellets are also very economical. They are compressed pine pellets and one of the bunny safe litters. They come in 40 pound bags and are around $6. They can be found at Tractor Supply or in feed stores.

Are these any good? http://www.tfmsuperstore.co.uk/shop/logs-kindling-sticks-wood-pellets-15kg-19109.html says they can be use for horse stalls

Those wood stove pellets look good.
You can use puppy pee pads if your bun isn’t the type of bun that eats non-food.
