Malibu by 9 1/2 year old Otter Rex passed away.  Malibu and her brother Oreo were an impulse purchase, we had never owned a bunny. We were walking around the Brown County Fair for my 12th birthday and I walked through the rabbit barn. We called my dad and came home with two baby bunnies, Oreo Mc Flurry and Malibu Rum who we thought were brothers. As Malibu kept growing wider and wider we brought her to the vet and found that she was actually a pregnant girl bunny, Oreo was neutered and Malibu ended up losing her babies.Malibu and Oreo went to the fair and competed for 8 years during this time Malibu won countless awards including Best of Breed. Malibu spent her entire life bossing Oreo around and eating all of the food. Up until the end she ate as much food as she possibly could. She was a lover and loved to cuddle.  She struggled with paralysis for the last three weeks of her life, we do not know what happened but she was not in any pain and the vet and I could not justify putting her through a surgery at her age.  She got propped up and didn’t act any different. Malibu will be deeply missed.

I can see why she won awards, she is stunning.
It sounds like she lived a long life as a cherished bun. I hope her mate is not grieving to badly.
