Over the past few months, our family has been working with a local rabbit rescue to provide a foster home for rabbits in need.  In the process, my kids have adopted three male rabbits from the same litter.  Now that all of the foster bunnies are gone, I’ve realized that one of our three adopted bunnies is always left out of the group.  It seems that two have bonded, and the other is just a “third wheel.”  Is keeping a happy, odd numbered group feasible?  IF I were to add a fourth rabbit, would a male or female be a better fit?  Thanks in advance!

if you are looking to get a forth bun, taking the unbonded one out of the trio and bonding him to the forth as a second pair might work better? are all 3 neutered?

All will be neutered at the end of the month.  Do you think I need to try to bond him to another neutered male (when the time comes) to avoid introducing a lone female into the house?
