My girl rabbit is spayed, and I noticed a while a ago this little lump of fur under her chin. Does any one know what that means? Thanks!

              Wow that is impressive
Do all female rabbits have a dewlap? I can’t see one on Buttercup!

Agreed! I don’t know if all female rabbits have one, but Luna has a small one. Some dewlaps are more pronounced than others (Vienna ).

Lol. You can see in the avatar photo how she normally is. The above photo really is as big as it gets LOL.

Yes i think with age and a bit of extra weight it is more prononced.

(It is where a female would pluck (very sooooft) fur from to make her nest. )

Wow, that’s an amazing dewlap, Vienna Blue! Lady rabbits always seem so comfy taking naps on their chin-cushions. You can see Buffy’s dewlap in my avatar as well In certain positions, she seems like more dewlap than bun!

I’ve heard (via word of mouth, so I’m not sure how reliable it is) that female bunnies who get spayed younger are a little less likely to get big dewlap, but that’s not always the case.
