So, over Christmas and New Years, me and Aaron took the bunnies and stayed at my parents house, we live 40 miles away from both our families so it doesn’t make sense to stay home at Christmas.

We had a lovely time but the bunnies definitely missed their castle, first thing they did when we got home (After chinning all the tables en route) was hop in and check it was how they left it.

They have an indoor cage at Mum and dad’s already and I took my pop up pen along, :

*I took my nephew and niece to the park one day and we had left the buns in the pop up pen as we were only going to be an hour. Well an hour was more than long enough for a joint effort between Frank and Cinders to chew a hole in one of the panels and make their escape. We came home to find Frank asleep behind the sofa and Cinders lying in her corner – Luckily no damage to mum & dad’s house/ wiring was done!

        * Mum and Dad have a black lab called Molly, she is the softest thing. She loved the bunnies and they often touched noses with each other. Cinders walked up to Molly one day (Early on in our stay) and stood staring at her, Dad joked that Cinders was trying to figure out whether Molly was her mummy or not

*On NYE me, mum & dad were in the living room having just eaten tea, Frank was happily sleeping under the fire behind the pop up pen in the pic above. He got up and ran at 100mph round the left hand side of the pen and jumped into the pen. Then he starts hopping about hunched up as if he has broken his back, I panic’d massively and went to get a closer look, not wanting to pick him up initially incase I hurt him more I noticed something was stuck to his tummy. So I pick him up and notice it is duct tape! I curl him up so the tape isn’t pulling on his chest/ tummy hair and dad starts to gently pull his fur away from the tape.  He sat on my knew for a few minutes after the tape had been removed, I stroked him to reassure him and try to calm him a little . After a few mins he hopped down off the sofa then ran over to his pop up run and had a little drink (I think that is where he was heading when all this happened). I sat on the floor incase he wanted to come back to me. After he had lapped up his water he came back to me and rubbed his nose on my hand and out his paws on my leg. Kind of felt like he was thanking me, bless him <3

The only thing I can think of is that some tape got stuck to the bottom of the pen when it was in the garage and when he has laid down it has stuck to him. Poor little fella didn’t know what was going on, it took ages for his breathing to settle

We are back home now and the bunnies are settled into their routine again. I think Frank is missing Dad, he loved sitting by him, never seen Frank do that with anyone else before

All in all, a good Christmas with good company, what more can we wish for hey Happy New Year everyone

Awww how adorable! I don’t know why but i just love reading little updates like these We had our buns down for the whole of christmas day – they loved hopping around under the tree and jumping on the presents. Earl (my youngest bunny) had the same thing… he loved sitting on dads lap, made me feel a bit jealous
