I have Charlie out hopping around on my bed and noticed that he was leaving a spot of pee everywhere he hopped. I have his litter box in here and noticed he just peed in there and looked at his tail and it had some urine on it. I wiped it gently with a wet towel and he’s been licking himself trying to clean up, but I’m a little worried. Is it normal for this to happen to bunnies every once in a while? He’s been acting normal and is eating mostly the same as he always does, just not eating as many pellets as he used to – but is eating tons of hay. He’s drinking fine, peeing and pooping fine, and is acting like his normal self.

I might be over reacting, but I started reading online and kept seeing urine scald and that it can be a sign of illness and the vet should be called immediately. I’ll keep an eye on him, but just want to know what everyone here thinks?
        Thank you!

Maybe if it keeps happening then it would be more of a concern, but he might’ve just backed up to far and pee got on his tail. How old is he.?

Being that hes licking it constantly, it could be a UTI. If possible, you can add a bit of cranberry juice (pure + no sugar added) to his water to help him out. If its not a UTI, it could be him learning to mark the area as “his”
