I just recently bought a small pet carrier from wal-mart. Leave the door off and put a blanket inside. Works great and it was a lot cheaper than at the big box pet stores. It was plastic so they won’t chew it.

Cardboard box, pet carrier as suggested (I leave mine out 24/7), also plastic storage tubs, if you can get the stacking ones with the lower front lip and turn them upside down it’s handy to already have that door, but you can also cut a doorway in the front if it’s just a regular storage tub.

Yes, that’s the sort I use, a sturdy plastic is better than a flimsy plastic as it is harder to chew and less likely to snap off into sharp bits if they try. If you notice chewing it should be removed, but you should be fine as litter trays are plastic too and most buns don’t chew them

It’s not a very close image, but you can see the plastic hidey I use on the bottom level behind Apollo

Oh cool thank you I have fiddlesticks like yours but Oakley has pine pellets in his litter tray ( I changed to see if that would help with toilet training and it has heaps!) but because of that he has taken to seeing on pine chews and his fiddlesticks so removed them

After all your help on here guys I went and got Oakley some new items today will pop pic below .

The marbel round platform thing by the door in middle of cage I thought may help wear down nails , the pot is his toy basket now , the stool is his new hideaway

Very nice My pair chew their fiddlesticks which is fine, better than the cage After a couple of sample nibbles when I first put them on wood pellet litter, they haven’t tried eating it since.

The marble will also help keep him cool on hot days if he lays on it

I wouldn’t mind him chewing it but peeing on it!! Then he peed on his pine chews …. thats when I figured out it is because he has pine pellets litter …
I took out all the pine now ( he has various other chews like seagrass mats and willow sticks and apple sticks ) but it looks less “natural” now… so I added the garden pot and I’m currently googling to find other non wood natural looking items I can put in . No luck yet . I hate that I cant get willow items here untreated but it’s all sprayed on entry into nz …

Ive made this one before – it lasted about 2 weeks
It was still fun to try and it was free
