So last night around 3 am my bun decided to start thumping the ground. I went in checked in him and he just sat there like he wasn’t doing anything I went back to lay down and 5 mins later and he started at it again. It continued on for a good 2 hours. I’m not sure why he was thumping the only time I’ve ever seen him do it was when he was angry with his brother. Who we just rehomed 2 days ago due to them constantly trying to go at each other even when on opposite sides of the room. He now has full rein of the room to his self I’ve done my best to removed any remaining sent left behind from his brother with viniger. He’s been rubbing his chin all over the room especially the corner his brother stayed in. So what is causing his thumping behavior? Is it because his brother is gone even tho they didn’t like each other and we’re both very unhappy. Aside from the thumping I don’t think I’ve ever seen him happier. Just curious if anyone know what his issue could be. And if there’s anything I can do to stop it.

He could have heard or smelled something which you couldn’t that was scaring him. Whether it was a mouse, or even a cat or fox outside.

Sometimes we never know why a rabbit does something which can be frustrating! It could literally be anything – a sound or smell he didn’t like or he might have just decided to be a cheeky little thing and wind you up My Buttercup loves being naughty, she binkies when we tell her off
