        Hey guys

I really need some help. Nox lunged and bit me twice today! The bite wasn’t hard and didn’t hurt but it was the aggressiveness behind it that I don’t get. I was just going to give her a treat and she lunges at my hand and bites my thumb. She is 5 months old and not spayed yet (that comes soon). Do you think its just hormones or have I done something to make her scared of me?

Edit: She also doesn’t want to come out of her cage.

Could be hormones, could be not. Where were you trying to give her a treat? It sounds like either food aggression or possible territory aggression. Hormones can make both worse. If this is very new, it could also be a sign that she is terrified or in pain.

This just started today. She was outside her cage on the floor in the living room. She has never done something like this before. She doesn’t seem to be in pain since she was running around and jumping a few minutes before.
