So Binkie seemed to be back to normal after almost 2 weeks of GI stasis and diarrhea, but he relapsed and had diarrhea today followed by a stasis. He’ll have periods of regular poops and then go back to not pooping or having diarrhea. His stomach is very hard and is clearly causing him a lot of discomfort. I’ve got him back on critical care to help and used the last of the metacam prescribed by the vet. He’s never had GI issues that have taken this long to heal. I know it can take a while for the GI tract to figure itself out, but I’m worried why he still seems sick after 2 weeks.

Have you had his teeth checked? The molars can’t be seen without an otoscope and the bun often have to be put under for the examination because buns tend not to cooperate. Molar spurs can prevent the bun from chewing properly, and that will cause persistent tummy problems. It’s not uncommon in adult buns. When you get the molars trimmed, the bunny will as a rule go back to normal in a couple of days.
