Well, I’m freaking out once again, lol.

Today, I noticed this little bump on my bun’s bottom eyelid, just on the lip.
He doesn’t seem bothered by it at all, but the second I saw it, I was scouring the Internet trying to see if it would be harmful to him or not.

My husband thinks it’s a stye and I moistened a paper towel with warm water and pressed it to his eye. He actually tooth purred while I held it there, lol. But once the temperature of it became lukewarm, I took it off.

Since then, I’ve been wondering what to do.

Does this warrant a vet visit? Or am I overreacting and I should just leave it alone and see if it goes away on its own?

I’m sorry if this all seems over dramatic, I’m constantly worrying over my baby is all, haha.

Any advice would be appreciated! Here are some pictures I took of the possible stye!

Did you have a look under there? It could be a meibomian cyst.

Whether it’s a meibomian cyst or a sty, you can try treating it with a warm compress several times per day. If it doesn’t look better after a few days, then further treatment may be needed.

I took a look once I checked out that link. It does seem very similar, only the bump on the inside is very small…

Is this something that’s common? Or dangerous? I apologize, I always get so concerned when something is off with him, haha…

They are fairly common. They aren’t dangerous unless they become infected. They will often go away on their own with the use of warm compresses. Like I said, if it doesn’t look better after a few days, then it might be a good idea to have it checked. If there’s an infection brewing, then the vet can give you some antibiotic eye drops.

Thank you soooo much, that helps alleviate a lot of my stressing, lol.

I’ll be sure to give him warm compresses like you suggested (: Thanks again!!!
