Not really sure where this belongs so apologies if it’s in the wrong section – I’m looking for fleece blankets! I heard they were good for little diggers (which Peanut most certainly is) not too mention they would be nice and comfy to roll around and flop out on. Has anyone got any recommendations? I would prefer to order from Amazon, but there are so many that I can’t decide what’s best! Thanks guys.

I think the cheapest place to find them would be your local goodwill/salvationarmy/thriftshop!

I was lucky one day and found a whole bunch of fabric remnants of great quality fleece at my local thrift ship ON THE DAY THEY WERE HALF OFF!

Also, I would check our your local Joann Fabrics, Micheals, or Pat Catans. They also sell fabric remnants (the end of the roll, hehe. Wish they kept that nice big cardboard roll for us bunny owners too! Ha!) Or you can select your own patterns.

My Jake also likes to dig and I find that with his trimmed nails (thank the Lord for the vet, hehe!) that he does not damage to digging on my own bed (especially my fleece pillows).

Also, I’m sure you already know about this, but “digging boxes” filled with newspaper of inkless paper (I’m lucky because I work at a daycare and we get rolls of natural paper that is safe should a baby eat it!) are fantastic.

P.S: I’m new here and your Peanut is so, so cute! What a beautiful bun.

Thank you. I’m in the UK but you’ve inspired me to have a look at my local Fabric Warehouse! I’d love a dig/burrow box and have used them in the past but unfortunately if I fill it with straw and/or hay, despite both bunnies being litter trained, they pee all in it  I’ll definitely give paper a go though, hadn’t thought of that!

If you’re referring to my avatar, that’s actually my other bun Buttercup She is gorgeous isn’t she. Peanut doesn’t like having photos taken which is a shame cos he is adorable too

Check your local fabric store, I took 1 yard of fleece and made Amelia three blankets. If you are feeling crafty make 2 layer tied fleece blankets, she see,s to like the two layer ones the best

Do you have a market nearby? You could buy cheap fleece and then make some and wash them before you give them to bunny.

Yeah Poundland have really nice fleeces that are a perfect size (roughly 1m x1m) they also look really great. Every time I’m in there I stock up – they can be found in the baby or pet section.
P.s Poundland also have toys for dogs and cats that my buns love

I ended up spoiling my bunnies a little and buying them really pretty (and overpriced LOL) ones from Amazon. I got Peanut a blue spotty one which he is currently digging at and I got Buttercup a pink spotty one I’m heading to Pets at Home tomorrow which is fortunately right next to a discount store so I’ll have a looksie in there for some more to stock up. Will check out the plushy dog toys too
