Georgie is adjusting well to the household and coming around to new behaviours.

We nuzzle her nose to nose and give her kisses on her head which she likes very much (she happily grinds her teeth).

I think I read somewhere that a bunny who wants to be groomed will put their head close to the ground and present themselves. Sometimes when we are kissing and patting her we will try to put our nose below hers. She fights us for the lower nose position she wants to be groomed – not do the grooming.

There have been a couple times she has groomed me when we have these little “no! Me!” battles but mostly I just enjoy the interaction.

Anybody else experience this or something like it?

My bunny does the same thing! She absolutely loves to be pet on the head and the cheeks! She usually grooms me when she’s on top of her cottontail cottage. I’ll place my head underneath hers and she will start to groom me! It’s so cute! She’ll also groom me if I just lay my head next to her and she feels like grooming! LOL! Sometimes it’s really awkward because I’ll put my head by hers and she’ll just look at me like, “you weirdo!” Yes, she enjoys grooming me ever so often… but she LOVES it when she is the one being groomed! LOL! ?

My Yohio always put his head on the floor and demanded pets. Bam takes turns. I pet his head, he licks my hand. It seems important for him, he shakes my hand off so he can lick it, then he’s like “There! Your turn!”

I have the same interactions with amelia, but she insists on grooming me first, my husband calls them kiss wars

Hopper prefers to be groomed, he’ll put his head under mine. Every so often he’ll shake off my hand and groom it instead. And, if he is happy with my service to him, he’ll just approach me out of the blue and lick me. They are all just so sweet!

Lucky will come up to me and put his head down. I start grooming his head, cheeks and ears… sometimes neck and shoulders. After about 15 to 20 mins of getting groomed, it will be his turn to groom me. For about 20 seconds he cleans one or 2 fingers on the hand that was petting him with (he does not care about an equal time share at all!), then he either 1.) puts his head down in order to get me to groom him again, or 2.) as he is grooming me he does a slow tilt bunny flop. Lucky gets very stern if i try to move my hand away before his grooming of me is done. He has actually pulled my hand back to him or follow my hand until the job is done to his satisfaction.

The funniest, though… is when Lucky hangs out with Ginger, my italian greyhound. They will cuddle up next to each other. Lucky will lay his head down in front of Ginger. He is clearly wanting her to groom him. She gets this look on her face like she doesn’t understand what he is trying to say. Then she will just press her head up against his head thinking that is the answer. They will sit there for a few mins with their heads pressed together, each waiting for the other one to do something more.

My Lilo for the most part wants to be groomed. Sometimes he wants to be picked up and groomed. When he’s in my lap he would reach up and sniff my chin. If I ignore him he’ll lick me a couple times, the jut his head under my chin for grooming. Very bossy wabbit.
