Guys I feel so bad for my little snowball bun!! He’s 5 months old and neutered, and is the cuddliest softest most kissable little bunny ever. Really reminds me of my little Barney who I miss so much. He had his second date today with Oreo, one of my spayed sister pair. The girls fight often and it was recommended to me that adding a third bun especially a male would help the girls settle down … Not convinced.
Date 1 was only 5 mins and consisted of side by side broccoli and banana eating, no chasing.
Date 2 today consisted of Oreo chasing poor snowball over and over again … I didn’t see any biting or thrashing at all just constant chasing and a clash of bodies as he tried to escape her!!
What shall I do next? She did eat a piece of banana off his head today and then continued to chase him.
Shall I do more dates just he and Oreo?
Shall I add her sister Bramble to the mix yet?
Shall I try any stress bonding?
Someone please give me some direction and tell me whether chasing is ok!!

Missing my barney and belle more than ever now, never one tiny fight between them just instant love and soul mates forever.

        Thanks guys
        Anna
        Xx

Don’t let your buns chase each other! This will make the bun being chased very agitated and your bonding will be unsuccessful.

Google how to bond – you can find some awesome ideas from this site: https://www.thebunnychick.com/2013/06/17/4-rabbit-bonding-beliefs-that-arent-always-true/

          https://www.thebunnychick.com/2013/08/04/3-most-important-aspects-of-bonding-that-people-always-seem-to-forget/

Definitely start out again but in a really small area – like a box or a laundry basket. This way you won’t have chasing. And if your buns aren’t biting each other this could work out. Try the vacuum cleaner or a pan and wooden spoon like the above site suggests if you see a fight break out.

          Let me know!
