        Hi Guys,

I think I may have glanced at a flea on Penelope and Im quite concerned now that I have been thinking about it.

Is there anything I can do can do at home? like a bath? if so what type of bath and what do I put in it?

A homemade solution I can spray?

or anything everyones help would be greatly appreciated!!
( Penelope is an indoor rabbit but sometimes is out side)

It might be good to start by going through the fur with a flea comb. See if there is any flea dirt and get any live fleas.

Treating with Revolution or Advantage applied on the neck should sort out any fleas. They can also act as a preventative if your rabbit goes outside.
Be careful with other products are some can be harmful for rabbits. Especially anything containing fipronil and shampoos containing pyrethrin.

I got a hold of a flea comb and I was combing her for a good 5 minutes and I saw a flea! I ended up catching 3-4 in 30 ish minutes. In the morning im going head down to the pet shop and get Revolution for kittens and puppies as Penelope has used it before but Im not sure about the dosages since the Vet did it for me. Penelope weighs about 2.7- 3kg

You can use the dose for kittens. 6 mg per kg body weight is the recommended dose. This article has good info:

I’m sorry to hear she has fleas. I will now issue the warning we always issue when a bun needs an anti-parasitic: NEVER use any compound containing FIPRONIL (Frontline, Sentry Effipro etc) on a rabbit. It’s deadly toxic to them.

ETA: I just saw this warning already has been issued. But it’s so important it can be said more than once

The kitten/puppy packs have 3 ampules that are 0.25mls each. You use the whole contents of a single ampule. This is well within safe range for your rabbit.
But do get an accurate weight for her before you make your purchase.
