Forum DIET & CARE Is readigrass for horses safe for bunnies?

        Hello!

        I recently bought a large bale of Readigrass online, but the first thing I noticed when I unpacked it was it’s branded as a “Natural part of your horse’s diet”. Whoops! My buns have previously had the “Friendly Redigrass for small animals” and loved it. Is the horse version safe for them? Otherwise I’ll have to figure out a way to return it or give it away.           Horses and rabbits are very much alike GI wise and both species need a grass/ grass hay-based diet. All hay you can feed horses you can feed rabbits too, so I think the readigrass for horses will be fine for your buns. It’s most likely the same thing only a bigger size bale. Readigrass has a higher protein content than hay, but that’s the same with small pet readigrass. If this is the brand, here’s a table of nutritional values:
