If you are not familiar with Snuffles, its when your bun is sneezing all the time. Or 7 sneezes in rapid succession frequently. Its highly contagious and not curable. Chances are, your bun already has it and it normally manifests in times of extended stress or compromised immune systems. No such thing as a bunny cold, its Pasteurellosis.

Heres a great link on it

Now you can goto the vet for every little thing, pay 40-60 for a visit and then be told that this needs a strong dose of Anti biotics that will either fix it or will need the medicine for the rest of its life. I dont like pharmaceuticals and practice TCM within our household, never mind spending limitless amounts of money on buns isnt an option.

Anyways, One of my little lionheads 4 month old developed a severe case of Snuffles and then infected the rest of my bun crew, everyone was sneezing. After research i changed up my bunny salads to include herbs that were known for bacterial control and immune support while low oxalic acids. It started to help but wasnt enough. I needed more anti bacterial supplements, I bought Grapefruit seed oil extract and began 3-5 drops in a water dispenser and it completely controlled the infected buns. My little lionhead that had it longest, first developed more severe symptoms like head tilt and damaged his head or back while rolling and died within 30 hours. The others though who were treated within 2-3 weeks with this method and havnt seen a lick of the smallest symptom since.

Just some natural, organic medicinal alternatives for you all.

My bunny had snuffles bad enough he ended up choking twice, and was going in and out of consciousness for 20 minutes during the first (worst) episode. Went to the vet, had a few tests done, and was put on antibiotics for 2 weeks. Badger hasnt had a single problem with it since Severe cases need to be seen by a vet. The cost amount should matter very little if it means getting your babies back to a healthy and happy condition

It’s good to read the GSE had such an impact for your rabbits. I have some i sometimes put in the water but Im not very consistent with it!
I did read about it being very helpful for someones guinea pigs one time. It was the only think that helped their respiratory issues.

I wasn’t able to open the article you linked. Is anyone else having the same difficulty?
