        Hey guys,

So I am home for the holidays and within two days my bunny(5 month old female) has become super attached to my Dad. She even sits on his shoulder when he is on the couch.

She has never done this with me and this makes me worried I am doing something wrong? Has anyone else had something like this happen? Did you figure out why?

Haha, it’s typical of bunnies, I’d say!

My mother is Bam’s favorite person. She was the first person he allowed to pet him when he wasn’t eating, and for a long while, she was the only person he accepted sitting in the lap of. When she comes to visit, Bam jumps up into her lap for pets.

You probably aren’t doing anything wrong. Being a pet-owner is a bit like being a parent: You can’t just cuddle and give treats. You have to clip nails and give butt baths and enforce boundaries. Grandparents on the other hand are allowed to spoil their grandchildren and grand-pets rotten.

It could also be that your father happens to be a “bunny whisperer” without knowing it. My mother is a bit of a pet whisperer. That’s just how some people are I think.
