so, i have not really been actively trying to train Meadow to do anything, other than not be destructive. i figured anything she learned she'd probably forget anyways, at least until her spay appointment...
i was playing with Meadow and Michael earlier today. Michael said her name and she came running from across the room. i just stared at her. i waited until she had run away again and then i said, "Meadow" in a completely normal tone. she was sitting on my foot in a second flat. we herded her into the other room, walked away. tried it again. she came running! no treat necessary, just a hearty head rub and she was happy. i really hope she retains this thru her surgery. and now i'm thinking of other things we can teach her! i also can't wait to show her off to my parents who think rabbits are more like goldfish than a dogs.
Oh my word! That is simply too cute for words!! How proud you must be for your little bundle of joy! She is just the sweetest thing!
