hello! we are a bit worried with our bun mimi. she has been biting on her cage at night which obviously is not ideal when trying to sleep, and have looked up ways to try to stop that. since we have an extra room in the apt that is mimi proof, i thought i would give her the whole day with her own room.. to see if maybe by the end of the night she would be okay to sleep in the cage with us in our room. so we just went in to put her back in the cage and i noticed 2 brown puddles, like the color of coffee. it does not smell, it definitely is not her poop since there were normal poops scattered around the room, and i checked under her for stains and there were none. plus she is acting normal as well. originally we thought it was vomit but found out that rabbits dont even do that. is it her pee? her box was in there and she is always very good about peeing in there, and when she has peed outside of it, it has never looked like that. is she okay? was it because she was upset about being alone for a while longer than normal??

        s.o.s.!!

Pee can vary quite a bit in colour. Especially after it has been exposed to the air for a while. If she had done the pee spots a lot earlier, it would probably have deepened in colour. The pee spots were on the floor?
If having time in that room is new to her, it’s very possible she marked a few spots with pee. The colour change is more noticeable then.

yes they were like right in the corner, and it is a new room for her. she has hopped in there a few times before, but never stayed in there for longer than a couple minutes. so yeah maybe it was sitting there for a bit which caused it to change color.
