        Hello,
I have a rabbit called Oreo. Lately he has been doing something weird which I am totally clueless about. When I go to see him he excitedly hops around me and shakes his head especially his ears. It’s like his ears are irritating him. He also itches himself whilst grooming and after I’ve stroked him for a while he’ll hop away and groom himself . Why does he shake his ears like that and why does he itch his head and ears.

        Thanks

          Half binkies

Hes likely shaking his ears during grooming to get any loose fur out of them

hmmm….could be one of two things. Excited bunnies sometimes do what I call a “head binky” where they toss their head. Since you mention he is excited when he does this that comes to mind. If he’s doing it at other times too, there could be something bugging his ears like an infection or wax buildup.

Thanks Mikey and little puffy tail I thought his ears might have a problem. I checked his ears and they are fine and I have been spending a lot of time with him and he doesent do it much only in the mornings when I see him at times.

              Thanks☺️?

My bun does that whenever she’s super excited and running around. I’m sure that’s what Oreo is doing – he’s happy!
