        Hello!

I have a 4 month old mini lop called Hugo.  We have had him since 10 weeks old and has settled in very well.  However, my partner and I both normally spend christmas eve/day/boxing day visiting family and friends and are generally not home very much over that period.

My parents said they would be happy to have him at theirs as that’s where we would be most of the time, and he would stay in the spare bedroom at all times, but they do have a 5/6 year old cat that is a natural hunter and sometimes brings in mice etc and eats them!  I’ve read in lots of forums that cats and rabbits can get on (with constant supervision obviously!) and my parents cat would not be allowed in the room at all, but am I right in thinking it is too risky to have Hugo there for a couple of days with the cat lurking around?! Even if we are very careful?

        Any thoughts would be appreciated!

        Many thanks x

Would Hugo be in a cage or free range in the room?

Our cat is a hunter too, but he surprised us. He has ignored our bunnies from day one. Only now a couple months later is he interested enough to sniff noses with them through the bars of their pens. We were worried that at first he’d be staring them down, trying to get in their cages but it was quite the opposite. It’s worth a try, just be vigilant!
