Jake has a couple options for sleeping (that are specifically for him–he likes my bed too! ). I haven’t heard of a donut bed but he has an American girl-sized bunk bed (next to the bottom bunk there’s a suet-holder filled with hay and the top bunk has a warm fleece). He also has a small traditional pet bed (he isn’t a huge fan of that) and a big old cardboard box filled with fleece under my bed.

The one time I tried a cat bed, Bindi repeatedly peed in it. Not sure why because he doesn’t pee on his blankets. Bunnies….

No, I’ve tried to make several warm comfy spots for Breintje. He hops in, tries it out for a day and then decides that he prefers the floor… *sigh* bunny logic…

I don’t know if it’s technically a cat bed, but I do have one for Chom that has raised edges and is fluffy and soft. He loves it, flops on it all the time, and grooms it. It’s the only spot that he regularly likes to flop in.

I have used a cat bed, it never got used as a toilet, but it was never really used as a bed either. Bandit just used to hop in it to explore every now and then. Apollo and Luna liked to sit in it, but they also took to chewing it apart so I had to toss it.

Tried the cat bed thing, Peanut peed in it! It looked so comfy and cozy as well.

I had a plushy faux fur blanket that I gave to Luna but she never used it. She prefers to lay on the cold hard ground – carpeted flooring inside the house – not really cold hard ground for her, but it is for me when I want to sit with her and it’s 18 degrees (fahrenheit) outside!

I think you’d be wise to not give a soft bed to him until he’s litter-trained and neutered. The temptation to pee on the soft, plush bed is likely to be to strong for him to resist while he’s still very young and intact.
I gave my Bam a donut-shaped cat-bed, because he likes to lie on vet beds and fleece blankies, but unfortunately he chewed about 50 holes in in it the same night he got it, so I had to throw it out.

Right now I can hear all the bun owners across the globe saying to their buns “This is why we can’t have nice things!”

I put a donut like cat bed in his cage for a few days but he would just push it out of the way and sit on the hard floor – lol. can’t win with this bun. Then I took it out and put it on the floor outside his cage and sometimes he’ll hop in it, but I’ve never seen him actually use it as a bed. He’ll sit in it for a short time but that’s about it. He’s never peed in it, but he is litterbox trained and I think if i had given it to him before he was, he would have definitely peed in it.
It’s probably one of those things that isn’t completely necessary to buy, maybe start with a soft blanket and see what your bun thinks of that

Aweeeee, Jake says thank you (actually he’s on my bed cleaning his face but same thing right ). According to his old foster parents, he’s a pure mini lop (which I am told means different things in the UK than here is in the states ). He’s bigger than a Holland lop (nearly 6.5lbs!) but still kinda looks like the ones I see online.

LOL Anything not labeled ‘Rabbits’ gets destroyed and when you buy them something to chew on they don’t bother.

As for the donuts I like the jam ones and custard ones, oh sorry the beds, Olly has always had a big dog bed and I put something in for him to lay down on, Olly is 3 years old now and I wouldn’t buy him a bed that he can chew or if he didn’t I would still have a plastic dog bed, funny how he hasn’t chewed that up yet, a plastic bed is better because I don’t know if Olly will have tinkle problems later in his life.

                                        Mmm doughnuts
