Hi so I had gotten fluffer nutter, my Holland lop (or mini lop not exactly sure which breed) about 2 months ago he’s about 8 months now and he’s fantastic! Super friendly when people come over, him and I are super close and he seems to trust me most of the time (unless I have to clip his nails) anywho back to the point. I am having trouble teaching him tricks specifically spin and paw. When I try to teach him spin by luring him in a circle he runs away to his “safe corner” the moment he has to actually turn his body and he’s the same with paw. He already knows up and to come when called so he’s not untrainable and its not like he runs away from me all the time. So I am not sure if it’s me doing something wrong or if anyone else knows of a better way. Also I’ve been trying spin for about 2 weeks already so should I give it more time? Paw is a little newer however.
        Thank youuu

I think you should probably use a target stick for the spinning. A target stick is a stick with some kind of round object at the end that smells like one of your bunny’s favorite treats. You then train your bunny to follow that around, so really you’ll be able to teach him any trick! It worked really well with my bunny! Here’s two videos that might be helpful!

The paw trick I’m really not sure about. I’ve only taught my bunny tricks like spin, up, infinity sign, so on and so on. Good luck on your training! Have fun too!

Are you also clicker training with the commands? As Mari and LILO a target stick may be the answer for spin. For Amelia I’ve been breaking spin up into two parts and I’m was clicking and treating hen she had her back to me and when she was facing me again. She now will do it in a single step.

Like Jessica said, breaking tricks up does make it easier for your bunny to understand! As for clicker training, what Jessica said is very true as well. Also, once you get your bunny to do tricks with the target stick, you can go to your finger, then you can start making a gesture your bunny will understand to do tricks.
