        Hey!

I was just wondering if where a rabbit chooses to sit has any meaning? Nox likes to sit under my chair when I am wokring but when I am on the floor she sits at least 2 feet away at all times. Does this mean she doesn’t trust me?

She might think there’s a risk of being grabbed when you’re on the floor. When you are working there’s not that risk. But she clearly likes your company or she’d not chose to be as close to you at all.

They often like to sit under chairs or tables or beds. Creates the feeling of a warren, I suspect. They love tunnels a lot, probably for that same reason. Many dangers in nature comes from above.

She has tunnels and boxes she can go in but she never does. Doesn’t seem to like them? She prefers to stretch out under my chair or right beside it.

So if I just sit with her and ignore her she will learn to trust me more? And maybe sit close enough I could pet her?

I think so, they do understand with time that you are an asset (provider of pets and treats) and not a threat. It takes time though, prey animals as they are. But they do get there. She clearly likes you, or she’d not seek your company.
