Hi! Sometimes I notice on my rabbits that under there nose can be wet. It might be from just drinking water from there bowl, but just want to make sure. I heard if a rabbits nose is wet something is wrong, but it’s under there nose. So what’s going on? Might not be anything.

If it’s just a little damp directly under the nose (not a discharge/snot), then it is actually perfectly normal. You see it more often as the days grow colder, which means the air in the house is cooler. When bunnies breathe, moisture in their breath will collect directly beneath their nose in the form of condensation.

It could also just be the water bowl, my girl likes to dunk half her face in at first and always comes out wet on her chin and nose when we giver her fresh water.

This made me laugh because my Buttercup does the same thing  At least she has sort of worked out how not to get her ears drenched when she drinks now though thank god!

Yeah, she also likes to attempt to stand under the water stream when we pour it, so her forehead is wet, her chin, its kinda ridiculous. And disturbing when you reach to pet her and she’s soggy.

And watching her try to groom the water off is hilarious.
